About us

The Civil Air Patrol Opa Locka Cadet Squadron (OLCS) operates from Florida Memorial University with our squadron meetings held in the William Lehman Aviation Building.  The Cadet Program is available to youths from age 12 to 18.  We also have adult volunteers called SENIORS who work with the cadets to promote and teach the core values of INTEGRITY, VOLUNTEER SERVICE, EXCELLENCE, and RESPECT.  The cadet program is a structured program of the Civil Air Patrol, United State Air Force Auxiliary.

The Cadets gain leadership skills while learning about aviation and robotics through the Aerospace Education curriculum.  Members also have the opportunity to get certified to go on real missions through Emergency Services training.  The Physical fitness component ensures that the cadets are exercising both body and mind.
