Announcing the "Curry Blues Voucher"

Beginning 1 June 2015, parents and/or squadrons will provide BDUs to new cadets when they join, and CAP will provide a $100 voucher towards purchasing the blues uniform when they earn the Curry. The “Curry Blues Voucher” will be more reliable, faster, and more convenient than the “old” program.

Opa Locka's New Cadet Commander

The Opa Locka Cadet Sqdn. had a Cadet Change of Command in July to welcome our New Cadet Commander C/2Lt Christian Dominguez. Cadet Dominguez received his Mitchell Award in November 2014 and became the squadron's C/Deputy Commander under C/1Lt Darius Calvert.
Cadet Domiguez is very active in the squadron and participates in many activities. He is the Color Guard Commander, squadron MRO, ground team member and a valued part of our squadron. Cadet Dominguez will be heading to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Bch in late August afeter graduating from North Miami Bch High School.

New Cadet Commander Appointed

C/1Lt Jacqueline Cabrera assumes command of the Opa Locka Cadet Squadron after being C/Deputy Commander for 1 year.
Cadet Cabrera is an active member of the squadron and participates in many activities. She has held positions as First Sergeant, ground team member and a valued part of our squadron. Cadet Cabrera is continuing the work that past Cadet Commanders Calvert, Dominguez and Rodriguez established before her.
